The food at Buca di Beppo isn't "excellent" or "sooooooo good" and doesn't "rock", IMHO. but it's a fun atmosphere and the food is far better than other "Italian" chains like Olive Garden or Spaghetti Factory. The atmosphere is great and it's hard not to have fun there. That can make the food seem better.
You get a TON of food as it's a family style restaurant. Meaning that each plate can feed at least two people. How much it costs varies by location, when you visit, and what you order. You may want view the menu on their website and then call your local restaurant to ask what some select prices are, if cost is that much of an issue. That way you won't get there and be surprised.

I've never eaten there, but a Bucca Di Beppo restaurant opened last year near my house. It only stayed in operation for four months. Therefore, I have to assume it was either too expensive, the food was nothing sensational, the service wasn't good, or all of the above. However, don't take my word for it. Try it yourself and you be the judge....Good luck!

It's been a long time since the one and only time I tried Bucca's, food was good, and lots of it but it simply didn't cut it for me. That's not to take anything away from them but I don't like to eat in such a congested atmosphere. I grew up in the little mom & pop places that were more intimate and that's what I like.

The food is not the reason to go, it is bland and served in huge quantities. The restaurant has themed rooms and tables (most have a table in the kitchen itself) that create a fun dining atmosphere. You pay extra for the fun experience as opposed to the quality of the pasta they will give you. I would recommend it for a big office party or a family outing more than I would for a date night.

I have dined there once on a date. As others have stated they do give you a lot of food served family style. I was not that impressed with the experience and would advise you to look around and find a family run restaurant to dine at. They seem to always be better than corporate chains.

Been there a few times... the restaurant is overly decorated and the portions are meant to be shared between 2-6 people depending on what you order.... A little pricy, but its different from most places, so you might enjoy a change. I would stick to a good local Italian restaurant.

The food is great, especially if you bring lots of people since it is family-style. Lots of people are complaining about the prices, but if it is a big party, it's worth it!
Make sure to have the dessert .. spumoni!
If the prices really bug you, try cheap italian food at the Old Spaghetti Factory!

The food is okay but the portions are HUGE! I love going there when I am hungry and with at least a couple of other people. There are a lot of better Italian restaurants but you won't find one that serves bigger portions.

It's a family-style restaurant, meaning whatever you order is going to feed multiple people- and is meant to. I'd recommend bringing along some friends, and have an idea of what you all like beforehand so you don't spend all night arguing on what to order!

A little bit pricey but you get a ton of food. It's meant to be shared with the people you are dining with. None of it is single servings. Good food :)
