There are some really cool restaurants that are the best kept secerets of the locals that live there. I know, I've lived in several cities across the nation and there are restaurants that I miss now that I dont live there anymore:

Atlanta, GA: Eats Cafe - Jerk Chicken and black beans & rice
Las Cruces, NM: Chopes - Margarittas and chile rellenos
Las Vegas, NV: The Hush Puppy - All you can eat fried catfish and seafood
Seattle, WA: Salty's on Alki - The weekend brunch is slammin'

It can be more than one if you wish. Was the service bad? Was the food nasty? Did you ask for your money back?

My husband and I have recently moved from Mass to Virginia and dont know what restaurants carry good food and ambience in the Richmond area. We are looking for something different and not the usual Cheesecake Factory, Red Lobster, Olive Garden or Friday's restaurants; which are all nice places but we were hoping for something new. Maybe a steak and seafood joint??

Unavoidably, I will be looking for my new home the week of Thanksgiving in Indianapolis. I will be with someone who has food allergies and wishes to eat at a buffet, because of the many choices. Can anyone help me with restaurants hopefully near the Zionsville, Carmel or Northwest Indianapolis areas, that are open on Thanksgiving, and have a buffet style set up? Or restaurants that are a step or two above Family Dining that you know will be open on Thanksgiving. Thank you.

My birthday is towards the end of December and I'm looking for somewhere not to big or expensive being that we'll all be recovering from Christmas and all... I'll be going with a group of around 10 friends. I know there are so many in this beautiful city but I want to go somewhere that's not typical.

Name me a few good lounges in the manhattan that is a great place to celebrate my birthday in which has good music, and is affordable?

it can be expensive. we prefer american, french, italian, or asian fusion food. we are not into the super eclectic stuff which ... though we are willing to try new stuff. Some seafood on the menu is fine, though a seafood focused restaurant is also not prefered.
