Santa Monica Promenade. There is lots to do and it's a good place to people watch.

Griffith observatory is open again after 5 years, and is amazing at night under the stars. Quite romantic.. also peaceful and romantic is Descanso Gardens in La Crescenta. If you're going for a more mainstream kind of thing, the newer AMC (the big one, with 16 theatres I believe) is nice because it's #1, HUGE and plays tons of good movies, and #2 has a lot of cute little restaurants/ice cream places around. I know a lot of people also go to the cosmic bowling place in glendale or burbank, and also mini golf in sherman oaks I believe it is. Have fun!
