Basically, I'm from India, and its been ages since I ate mutton...
Tried out at many places...but no joy !

HEY GUYS/GALS....Thanks a lot for ur answers... But can someone gimme complete details of the place where I could get lamb meat? or the phone no...Any store specifically in richmond ?

Try a Ukrops store. They have higher end products, and should carry lamb.

Here in NY State, we buy lamb right from the supermarket. Lamb chops, Leg of lamb, and ground lamb are all readily available.

However, lamb and mutton are NOT the same thing. Mutton is from a fully grown sheep. Supermarkets do not usually carry sheep.

I made a Lebanese dish recently (Yukhnee) and obtained sheep from a local farmer who raised them for butchering. He slaughtered one for me and dressed it and packaged it. The price was fairly reasonable too.

Not sure about Lamb but Richmond has the best pizza place, Julian's, and it's been there for 40 years. Do that instead.

go to a farm and get a lamb :( just kidding. Dont hurt lamb. That's mean!!!! Eat something that you don't have to kill for!

no indian grocery store in richmond? there is in f'burg (north of you - one hour).
i thought mutton was an australian/new zealand thing. guess i was wrong.

they should have lamb in pretty much *any* supermarket or butchers... so i don't know why you're having so much trouble.
