I want to meet a friend for lunch and have a large salad as a main course, something akin to a Chef's salad, Cobb salad, etc. Where can you suggest I go in San Francisco? (My friend lives in West Portal--or we can go anywhere along the BART or Muni in downtown SF or Daly City)

P.S. I saw an earlier Yahoo answer which was "Bubba Gump". Sorry--rule out all theme chain restaurants that are simply tourist traps.

there is a chef in Boston, MA, who owns a restaurant that caters to people with food allergies (his son has food allergies). I seen him once on the PBS channel (here in NYC is ch. 13). I don't remember his name. He is of Oriental (not sure if he's Chinese, Taiwanese, etc) decent. Can you tell me his name and if he has a cookbook out? I greatly appreciate it in advance

I'm traveling for business on Valentines day this year, I'm going to surprise my girlfriend and bring her with me. I'm staying in downtown Detroit at the Courtyard on Jefferson Ave. I'm looking for a nice restaurant to take her to on Valentines day evening. I need some ideas.

Just give me your ideas for a great luau. It will be indoors because of Michigan weather. I want to recreate a little Hawai'i here in this frozen wasteland, a mini escape. I'm even looking into ABC store franchising as a gift shop portion in the restaurant.

We are taking a mini-trip to Washington DC with my 4 teenage children for 5 days. I hear DC is the mega capitol for restaurants. Are there restaurants with live entertainment, other than a band? Can anyone give me some suggestions of restaurants with live entertaiment, i.e., belly dancers, greek plate throwing, etc...?

I'm looking for a nice place with plenty of atmosphere. It doesn't have to be too swanky, just a nice local place with really good food.

I do this mainly at buffets where the silverware is left out and not wrapped up in a napkin. I am addicted to it. I have even went as far as opening the silverware out of the napkins and rewrapping it. I then sit back and watch as others get the silverware and eat with it. Is something wrong with me since I enjoy this so much?

'The Im Pasta', like imposter with a funny twist. I used to eat at a restaurant in Breckenridge Colorado named 'Rasta Pasta', but there weren't any rastafarians there.

I'm looking for a really fancy restaurant in Atlanta, GA. I'm looking for one of those restaurants that have valet parking and are reservations only. A restaurant that wont allow entrance unless you have a tie on. Does anyone know of any restaurants like that?
