Yankee Doodles in Santa Monica and Long Beach - it's a sports bar.
The Saddle Ranch in City Walk - bar.
The Yardhouse - restaurant and bar - yards of beer!
Hermos Beach - the pier area has a lot of small bars that have bands or DJ's -very cool, laid-back & casual.
Lucky Strike - Hollywood, The block @ Orange, Del Amo - a 21 and over bowling alley, they serve yummy drinks.

Skybar on the sunset strip. Tropicana Bar and Teddy's at the Hollywood Roosevelt. Hyde is a nice little club. Standard Hollywood and Standard Downtown(rooftop) are great bars. Bar Marmont in Hollywood was just redone. Killer view, go to the bar at Yamashiro in Hollywood. Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills Hotel has been famous for decades. Also, Beechwood in Marine Del Rey and "The Other Room" in Venice are fun. Good Luck, use a taxi.
