Here's the deal...my marketing company is hosting a large scale HALO3 tournament in Halifax and we want to have a "viewing" area where the competitors are able to watch the action. We want to show all four competitors action on ONE screen. The only way I can think of doing this is run VIDEO OUT component cable from all four televisions....but how will the Television play all four at once if the televison only has one VIDEO INPUT? (The television being used for the viewing area is a 42" LCD HD toshiba. Will I need some type of adapter? A computer program to allow all 4 video inputs, then reroute the video from the computer to the "viewing tv"? I am out of options.. thanks guys for any help

I have the built in HDTV tuner, and i get all the local channels which includes KNTV(NBC). I live in San Jose (near San Francisco) It says poor signal quality, is there anything i can do about it, or is it NBC's coverage. On 11 it comes fuzzy,(like its supposed to) but on 11.1 HDTV and NBC Wea it says poor signal quality.

Is there anythink i can do

Please help the technologically challenged.... :) Here is what I have:
-cable tv coming out of the wall via coax cable (no cable box)
- an old tv with only a coax cable plug (no rca cable slots)
-an rf modulator with rca slots and coax plug
-a dvd/vcr combo with rca plugs (2 sets- both input and output) and s-video-- no coax plugs

Right now I have cable going from the wall to the rf modulator, and a coaxial cable running from the rf modulator to the tv, and RCA cables from the rf modulator to the dvd/vcr plugs that say output. So I can play dvds and vhs tapes and they show up on the screen, but I can't watch cable tv while the vcr/dvd is on- I only get a blue screen unless I am playing a dvd/vhs. So I am assuming I also couldn't record any cable tv using the vcr. So basically I have empty RCA input slots on the dvd/vcr but no other open RCA slots on any of the other equipment. Is there any way to get everything to work together??? Thanks!

Basically debating on weather I should get either the
Sharp Aquos 42 inch LCD HDTV with 1080p which also comes with a hometheater system for 2000 dollars from futureshop.
Or should I get a Panasonic 42inch Flat Panel- Plasma HDTV with 720p, and it also omes with a home theater system all of 1800 dollars... The price really doesnt matter, Im just wondering what would be a better buy for my family. We need a TV to watch mainly televison shows in our family room, but also for gaming and watched hd movies... Reccomendations?

I have this tv that has been showing an ad on the screen, like it was still in the store trying to be sold to someone... One day the grandkids at grandma's started playing with it and that's what happened. Won't work right ever since. Is there a way to restore it to normal settings? Whenever we unplug it, plug it in and turn it on, it is still stuck on this setting! I've never seen anything like it. Displays messages such as, " This is why you need this tv" then goes on to say it's features. I'm all out of ideas, maybe you can help. The tv is 13 years old(Magnavox), so it's not the end of the world if no one knows how to fix it!

My little cousin kept flickering the TV on and off. They pressed the button several times before the TV had time to respond though, and it made a strange noise, flickered, and stayed off. It won't turn on now. Is it broken, or can it be repaired?

If movie camera shoot in Widescreen, why did we make TV's square to begin with?

EVERY time you see a movie on TV, it says this has been formatted to fit your screen, which means they had to stretch/crop the picture... Nowadays, most NEW TV's are widescreen... but why were they square to begin with?

Just curious...

Problem_was told by salesperson that the new TV's we bought were HD ready. I know that we told her we were on cable. The installer comes to house & says that they are NOT. HD receiver is not built in & not a connection to plug in the HD 'card' thing. He said they will NOT work after all station & cable company's completely convert over to digital/HD without the 'box' from the cable company. Someone else told us that they WOULD work, just not HD quality. Would like to know if they WILL continue bring in the cable stations or if we will have to throw them out with the trash if we don't get the cable box or go to dish. This situation is completey bogous!!! Thanks You.

I am completely confounded by all the crap going on with TVs today. The industry is trying to make it impossible for people to watch. TVs cost an arm and a leg now and the quality is much poorer than it was 20 years ago. Why can't the industry leave well enough alone and why doesn't the FCC step in and stop this nonsense? My parents don't have a digital TV and get their signal from an antenna. They are retired and don't have a fortune to spend on equipment. I also have a TV with rabbit ears that picks up local channels I can't get on DirecTV.
Please educate me on this which now I see no rhyme or reason for happening.

My 15 year old 27" Magnavox still plays but when I looked at TV's in an electronics store they had nothing for less than $800 and the sales rep said it might last 3 years. I am appalled by TV prices. All I want is a basic conventional TV that has a good picture and lasts longer than 3 years. What has happened to quality and at these prices, why are people paying over $1000 for poor quality TV's? The electronics companies are ripping off the consumers.

I have a small portable TV with a video input and audio input (white and yellow). When I plug my xbox 360 cables into the TV, all of the channels are still nothing but fuzz (* there isn't cable plugged into the TV). I also can't find the remote, but there is not a TV/Video switch on the front of the TV.

How can I successfully get my xbox 360 to play onto this tv?

Thanks

I'm using the Sony Bravia KLV-32U100M LCD and it doesn't seem to have the basic port that regular televisions use. On this ' http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/Sony-Bravia_KLV-32U100M-dealers.htm ' site it says that I need a seperate cable or an off-air tuner. Could someone tell me what cable I need or what exactly an OFF-air tuner does.
Thank You in advance
