I am looking for a 37"-42" LCD. I don't want to spend more than a $1,000.00 Which brand should I consider. I am looking for the usuall good picture, quality and performance.

SONY is the best LCD out there....

But for $1000 you may just want to get a Hitachi or Toshiba, or even a Samsung unit.....

Well, you may be asking too much for the size of the tv you want. You may want to go with a brand like Vizio, Olevia, Polaroid, etc that are lesser known than the big manufacturers like Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Mitsubishi, etc. The lesser known manufacturers will meet your financial needs. To go with the bigger name manufacturers, you may want to drop below 37 inches to get it in the price range you are looking for.

find sites like best buy.com etc.... and check the customer reviews for the things you might like... Im not sure how much they differ...

The only thing i can think of is the pixels etc

Samsung's line is pretty good, I have a 26" and I'm pleased with it.

if you want to spend under 1000 get a vizzo i own one and they are very good quility
