I moved a TV to my house and the Cable inlet broke off and I dont know where it went.. anyone run into this before? is it an easy fix? can i just get the part at a store and shove it in there? I dont know if I'd need to take apart the back of the TV to do it? HELPP! (ps a friend jus had it happen too so we're both losin out on our TV!)

It has to be soldered in, so it's best to take it to a TV repairman


there is a way to get around it though. if your tv has audio/video connections. use a VCR. run cable in to the vcr, and you RCA (audio/video jacks) out to the tv. then tune your tv to the aux channel and change the channels on your vcr

This is a professional repair job as safety is a factor. Some TV chassis are at half mains voltage and the coax socket is designed to isolate the chassis voltage from the cable.
