I think it is something to do with magnetism but knowing that doesn't help sort the bloody picture out. Yes it was a cheap as chips TV, but I still would prefer not to buy a new one as it works fine apart from that

I have a Philips TV/VCR combination, Model CCB092AT01 that is about six years old, and is working fine EXCEPT one night, I misplaced my remote, and was pushing buttons on the front of the TV (in the dark) to try and turn volume down. Somehow, the menu screen got dark--and all of the menu boxes and display lettering are black, so I can't read anything on the menu screens or change my VCR programs. I've tried pushing every button on my TV/VCR combo and on my remote, but can't figure out how to get the menu screen back to normal. I tried contacting Philips for technical support, but am getting the run around. I thought I might get faster assistance from someone out there! Thanks!

I have 2 TV points. 1 is connected to my TV through a cable set-top box and the other is connect to my PC's TV tuner card. Currently I can only view free-to-air channels on my PC. Are there any software s that can descramble the cable TV signals so that I can view cable channels on my PC?

I only have this problem every once in a while. Also, a few monthes ago the picture on the very top of the screen became compressed. Although, when the picture is working, it is no longer compressed and the picture is fine. I have a nine year old Panasonic TV set.

I think I have to be able to access the "menu" but can't get there. They are cable-ready and had been hooked up to cable (now they are not). These TVs are fairly new and were working just fine. Even if I get a "universal remote" how can I get it to "talk" with the TVs? Any suggestions?

My little sister has a TV in her room and I think it's only fair that I, age 14, have a TV in my room. The question is, how do I convince my parents to get me one?

1.) I have a RCA TV with Guide and V-Chip. Here is my problem, lets say i set the time correctly, and when Day Lights Saving Time comes the time doesn't change, so i have to reset the time but the only way to do that is to run the Continious Demo on it, set i reset it to the time that it is now, but when i do, about a 4 to 7 days later the time changes right back to the time it was before i changed it. Is there a way to keep this from happening.

2.) Also i use to have a 19inch tv screen which was basically the same as the one i am using now. I am not using s 25inch tv, and when i cut the tv on, the guide shows up, but on my 19inch tv, i could keep the guide from showing up when i cut the tv on, and it only comes on when i press the guide button, but i can't seem to figure out how to do that on the 25 inch tv.

Can Anyone Help Me With My Problems.
