I have 2 TV points. 1 is connected to my TV through a cable set-top box and the other is connect to my PC's TV tuner card. Currently I can only view free-to-air channels on my PC. Are there any software s that can descramble the cable TV signals so that I can view cable channels on my PC?

if you have a tv tuner card, you should be able to pick up about 70+ channels, without any special software. now if your talking about digital channels and pay-per-view, i dunno, thats a whole new ballgame, as well as a legal and ethical issue.

There are indeed descramblers for you PC, but they are a form of piracy, and I am sure you are not in favor of that, right?
But, you already have a descrambler in the cable box. Get a cable splitter and run a second line from the cable box TV OUT to the PC TV IN.
;-D Enjoy legal TV on your PC.

James H Wadd is 100% right. If the signal is strong enough try out his idea. If the signal is not the picture quality will drop.

it's probably technically quite difficult.
you would like it in real time and although computers are fast dedicated circuits in the cable box are very quick.
Also it relies on some info outside the image like the synchronization pulses etc that are not in the images you get on the computer.
