Look up the tv code through your cable company's website - they should have a listing of tv codes. If not, call your cable company to get the code. I just did this yesterday.

The remotes directions should contain the codes for every brand of TV possible. Directions on how to program the codes are also in there.

What kind of remote is it? You need to find the remotes manufacturer online...If you have the book that came with the remote the code should be in there...hit the device you want to operate hold it untill the light blinks twice punch in the code and see if the device accepts it by pushing power if not continue to the next one..
