I only have this problem every once in a while. Also, a few monthes ago the picture on the very top of the screen became compressed. Although, when the picture is working, it is no longer compressed and the picture is fine. I have a nine year old Panasonic TV set.

that sounds to be a vertical deflection issue, or either a pincussion problem. either of which could be fixed for around $100. you may want to get it serviced soon, tho. the longer you wait, the more damage can be done.

Well obviously there's something wrong with the video hookup, so I'd say call a T.V. Repairman and have him open it up and check it out. But make sure the Repairman is from an accredited repair company. I can't remember how many people have been scammed by fake repairmen.

Do you have cable? It might be the cable company is having problems in your area. Or do you have satelite? Maybe your satelite needs adjusting? Does this happen when you are watching a dvd? Maybe the player is bad, or the dvd needs cleaning. could be a load of things. troubleshoot it.

Im not an expert but I think u need to get that fixed or get a new TV
