I have a DVR box from Cablevision. The reason I got this was because it had an HDMI imput in the back which I could use to connect to my Sony 50" HDTV. When I plugged my HDMI cord into my DVR box and into my tv I got a blank picture. When I plugged the component cords back in, the picture came back. I tried playing with the menu & settings, but there is nothing relevant to my problem. I called Cablevision and each rep I spoke to gave me a different opinion, none of which helped. I feel cheated, since I bought my $2,500 HDTV specifically to use its HDMI imput. Now Cablevision gets in the way and, basically, tells me I have to watch cable tv with component imputs instead of the full glory of HDMI!

Even when my tv is off on mute or on a low volume i hear spanish music coming out of the back of it. We also have the same thing on our phone if someone isn't talking you can hear spanish music in the backround. The only way to stop it on the tv is to unplug it. I was just wondering why and how this is happening.

Its a 32" Toshiba and is about 9 years old. It usually comes back full screen after you cut it off and on a couple times. Is there any way to fix this problem or is it about to die?

I am getting ready to sell my old TV and I am not sure how much to ask. Paid $850 6 years ago. TV's have advanced so much and this one is becoming so outdated. Looking for honest answers only . Here are the specs: It is a panasonic 32 inch ct-32sf6
Stereo/SAP/dbx noise reduction
SuperFlat picture tube
Wideband video amplifier
Video noise reduction
Spatializer 3-D surround sound

Bring the cinema to your living room with this flat-screen TV, which delivers superior picture and sound. Panasonic's SuperFlat system picture tube contains an invar mask that brings consistently bright, sharp images to this 32-inch screen. A 3D-YC digital comb filter performs field-by-field comparisons to separate the color from the black-and-white information. It removes dot crawl and hanging dots both horizontally and vertically. A wideband video amplifier, along with horizontal and vertical edge correction, also contribute to a crisp, clear picture. A dual-tuner picture-in-picture feature.

This is really annoying me. My TV keeps making crackling noises while I'm watching it. It sounds like a build up of static but I've got no idea what to do. Turning it on and off again makes no difference and neither does adjusting the volume or putting it on mute... and it's getting worse!!

Anyone else had a first generation DLP TV go up on them? So far, we've had one color wheel fail (replaced with second gen at a cost of $500) and just now our other one popped, smoked and the scent of burning electronics penetrated the entire house. Is my family just unlucky? Looks like that extended service plan would have been a good idea, in this case and only this case. Any other horror stories out there?

I turned on my tv (HD tv) today and after like 15 min of being in a video game a brigther spot appeared in a corner, after i turned it off for like 2 hours the spot got smaller until almost dissapeared. Is that the "burnt" screen videogames warn about? what can i do to prevent from happening again, reverse it or fix it?
