I turned on my tv (HD tv) today and after like 15 min of being in a video game a brigther spot appeared in a corner, after i turned it off for like 2 hours the spot got smaller until almost dissapeared. Is that the "burnt" screen videogames warn about? what can i do to prevent from happening again, reverse it or fix it?

This does not sound like burn in. Burn in is not visible while you are displaying the game, but will show up as a ghost image when you view other material. You mentioned that your TV is HD. The only HD tvs that are subject to burn in are CRT and Plasma.

Does the bright spot appear only when you use the TV for the game, or does it appear on program material?

You need to give more information: what kind of tv, what does the spot look like (size, shape, color), does it happen whenever the tv is on or only when you use the game?
