I found that a an inside arieal did the trick i got one that works on electric it was £17.99 in argos and gets me a great picture on all channels .
An outside aerial will cost about £100 maybe cheaper that was what I was quoted when I was looking.so I tryed the aerial I have now saved me loads and works great.

If it aint broke dont fix it.
You can use your old aerial to receive freeview provided you are in an area with a strong enough signal in which case you could even use an indoor aerial and you would still receive the freeview digital signal.
If you are in a poor reception area you will probably need a larger aerial with a higher gain.
If you are receiving a good signal, do nothing and just enjoy the extra channels.

An aerial is an aerial. There is no difference between one which has a "digital" label and one which hasn't.
Sticking a fancy name on one is just a marketing ploy by the pimps who want to sell you something.

Digital TV and analog TV use basically the same frequencies. If you are getting good reception with your old aerial, there's no reason to get a new one.

When colour Tv started firms were trying to flog " colour aerials " which were identical to B/W ones, so there is no such beast as a digital aerial , so if reception is ok now stick to what you have !!

As long as you are getting good reception with your present aerial you will not benefit from changing it. Your freeview box works by picking up the analogue signal.

Most definately as the analogue signal is going to switch off within the next few years - check your tv shop for details. It will save you thr trouble later and think of how much better TV you will get!!
