I tune the tv to channel three, which is where the RF modulator is set. The light on the modulator next to "3" comes on. After a number of seconds the DVD starts playing, for a matter of seconds, and then the connection is lost. This only happens sometimes. Often the DVD won't play at all. What could be the problem?

We are ex-citizens of Britain, and when we moved to Canada, we brought our PAL TV, so we could play our PS2. We then bought the cheapest Canadian NTSC DVD player we could find. It's a Diamond Vision. We now have another DVD player, so the cheap one went onto the PAL TV (with a transformer, so it does switch on). For some reason we only get a black-and-white picture. This is the only channel we get a picture on, but we do get sound. The cables are all in their colour-coded ports, and we're stumped.

BTW, the television is an Aiwa.

Thanks.

I just moved to college and received a TV from a family friend. It's a Panasonic with a built in VCR and Radio. I can't seem to be able to program it so I can get local cable... And the remote wasn't given to me, so I only have a universal one. How do I program it?

My desired location is above the fireplace, and the studs seem to be pretty far apart. Plus, spending $250 on a mount that is just some peices of metal seems like a ripoff

It seems like it might be redundant having both tuners.
