At that length, i could actually look harder at Panasonic as maximum others have suggested. and actually i could do Panasonic vs LG here. not that the Samsung could be undesirable, yet i think of their greater suitable sized Plasmas actually evaluate greater appropriate than their mid-to-super sized ones do. The Pansonic Viera TH-PX80 could be a sturdy performer at a authentic looking cost. you will desire to up the ante in case you wished and decide on the TH-PZ80 or the TH-PZ800. the two could be gentle steps up for confident. however the PX80 is a super sturdy performer, and would supply greater appropriate bang-for-dollar on the scale. lower back nevertheless, Samsung isn't a undesirable selection the two. i could propose the 2009 fashions nevertheless over the previous ones. they seem to have extra some stable technologies and high quality advancements. The 2009 fashions have a "B" interior the style numbers quite of the in maximum circumstances viewed "A" ones. So some thing like a PN42B450. The LG 42PG25 costs ok. in case you felt forced to pass LG, i could propose that particular style. yet i would not dip all the way down to the PG20 line. the regularly occurring interior the blacks dips distinctly. And nicely what's the component of going Plasma once you have become one with susceptible blacks.

The main difference is the screen resolution
Two of them have 1024 x 768 pixels
One has 852 x 480 pixels.
If you are sitting farther than 10 feet away, you will not notice the difference with 20/20 vision. I can give you the calculations if you want. You should probably get the latest generation which is the 9th. I have the 7th generation and it looks great, the the 9 probably looks a lot better. Here is a good website for getting more information. I bought from these guys, they are very good.

If you want to hook a computer up to it (web surfing, no real office work), you want one with a DVI connection.

If you want to use it as a TV, you want one with a TV tuner. Most people don't need one by the way, a VCR works as a tuner.

You also want a HDMI if you plan to go with hi-def cable or blue ray. 2 if you plan to do both. All models should have these. I have not seen one that did not.

Some will have built in speakers. These can be useful if you don't have speakers or plan to shop for them later. They are not high quality so don't expect much.

If you have cable TV and speakers, you can get the monitor model. This is designed for business displays. It will have no speakers and no TV tuner, but fewer input ports (DVI/HDMI/composite/component). They're generally cheaper, but the plasma display is the same thing.

any of them-they are all excellent. but if you want hd then the th-42pe30b may not be for you-it only has a resolution of 852x480 and so cannot support hd. but its brothers the th-42pv500 and the th-42px60b are both more than equipped to suit all of your requirements.

Save your money....they are over-rated , all. For that price you could hire some starving actors to entertain you.
