The criteria would be picuture definition, clarity, sound, features, and most important would be dependabiliyt. Most large screen TVrequire an expensive service contract to cover your bets. The tube types have the best longievity. Plasma and LCD are newer and do not have dependability ratings.

There is no aerial in this flat but there is a sky dish and connection so I need to get a skybox, however I don't want to pay a monthly subscription with sky cos I don't watch it that much. I was looking on ebay but got very confused!! Do I need a viewing card...all connections are there so its just a matter of plugging it in and it'll work...also is a skybox and a digibox the same?! Thank you everyone for your help!

Projection TVs are much cheaper than either wall mounted plasma screens or LCDs, and there's no danger they'll crash to the floor. You can carry the projector around easily and to set it up, all you need do is hang a white sheet on the wall. What advantages do large flat-screen TVs have?

If there's a TV turned on in some room and it's MUTED, I can still get the "feeling" that the TV is turned on, even if I'm in the next room, not knowing before hand that the TV is on. Is there an explanation for that? Or am I the only one that experiences that?

When ever I turn off my tv and then turn it back on there is sound but not picture. If it is turned off for several hours it will be fine. What is the problem?
