The first question I need to ask in order to help is: How many SCART inputs does your TV have. The second question is: does your TV have any other form of AV input, e.g. S-Video, or HDMI (the new digital interface).

When we know how many inputs it has your question will be easier to answer.

You would help us to answer if you can state the makes and models of each bit of kit.

Next - how do you want to use things?

Do you want to record from Digibox to DVD Decorder - I assume that the answer to this is YES!

Do you intend ever to record anything on the VCR, or is it just for playback of VHS tapes?

Your DVD Recorder may have some "switching" capabilities, i.e. you may be able to make it a kind of hub for your system - need to know make and model.

You don't mention sound/audio at all. If you were to consider having/adding an audio-visual (AV) amplifier, this might solve all of your problems, as you could plug everthing into the one box, and provided you get the right box, everything that can inter-connect - will do!

Please also confirm how many SCARTS your Digibox has and its make/model.

Finally, name the make/model of your DVD Recorder.

In general the daisy chain starts by feeding all signals into the Digibox, then splitting the output from the Digibox to (a) the TV and (b) the principle recording device - e.g. DVD recorder and the TV.

Alternatively, you use the DVD recoder as a pass-through device. It all depends how many sockets each bit of kit has, what they'll permit, and what you want to do!

You dont say if the tele has 2 scart leads, so i am gonna assume it does. connect the tv via scart 1 to the digibox. Connect the tv ariel to the digibox. Connect the dvdrecorder to the digibox via scart2. connect the VCR to the tv via scart 2. to watch digi tv, turn your tv to channel ext1. to watch dvds, turn to ext1 and turn the digibox to av channel. to watch a vcr, turn the tv to ext2. to record using the vcr, connect the vcr to the digibox using a coaxial lead and tune the video channel to the digibox. allso, connect another coaxial lead from the tv out port on the vcr to the tv in port on the dvd recoreder to record tv onto dvd. its a bit complicated this way, but it works. (I have all mine in this way).

use your digibox as the main central point. one scart out to your recorder and the other out to your tv. focus it all around your digibox and it will be ok
