Projection TVs are much cheaper than either wall mounted plasma screens or LCDs, and there's no danger they'll crash to the floor. You can carry the projector around easily and to set it up, all you need do is hang a white sheet on the wall. What advantages do large flat-screen TVs have?

The newest 1080p projectors have outstanding pictures. In particular, the Sony SXRD has been reviewed as having the best picture of any consumer-lever TV today. The big advantage of plasma is its good contrast ratio, but the projectors are getting closer. Most plasmas are 1024x 768, while low cost LCD and DLP projectors are 1280x720. 1080p plasmas are just coming out, and they are expensive. 1080p LCD flat panels are more affordable, as are all the 1080p projectors. In my opinion, unless you really can't find the space to put one, the new projectors are the way to go.

The picture is better on a plasma than anything else I've seen. I own an LCD, a projection TV, and we have a projector as well down in the basement for when I used to do my own training. You can also see the plasma from every angle. I'd go ahead and buy the best plasma you can buy. You're going to find that once the light burns out in your projector ONCE, you could have paid for the plasma screen. Also, you can't watch the projector when the lights are on.

Most likely a flat screen tv because now a day the pictures are so much clearer and high definition. TV projectors are good to if you want to watch say a football game at like a party outside! I personally would go with a flat screen if i had to say!

there is so much misinformation out there on lcd and plasma tv .most have 60000 hours half life, that sitting on your butt for 18 years 7 hours a day watching tv to have the pic dimmed at its half output To put a sheet on the wall? then why havent theaters done that for all these years?ever think about having the pic reflect most of its energy straight back to you? not to have the imaged distorted ? projectors have 2000 hrs and then the bulb burns out at 250 buck a bulb i think lcd or plasma those in the industry know that even the md (micro devices) are going away because of the falling prices of plasmas and the larger size screens the day time viewing 180 degree viewing angle burn in isnt abig thing anymore
