I bought a computer and was told that the screen is17 inch. When I measured it diagnolly, horizontally and vertically it wasn't 17 inch. The sales man also could not explain it to my satisfaction. Can some one explain it to me please? What should be the measurment of viewable portion of the sreen when it is a 17 inch computer screen?

I recently bought a Samsung 32 inch widescreen TV and on the glass there is a residue of some kind that I can't get rid of. It has feint horizontal lines too as if some protective film was attached. I can wipe it all off with glass cleaner but it immediately comes back as though I never cleaned it. Does anyone know what will get it spotless?

Just moved to UK for 2 years - will be returning to US in 2008. Need to buy a TV, wanna get a big LCD. Understand NTSC = US standard and PAL = UK standard, but don't know any more than that. Is there a place on the web where I can get basic info on TV's video standards, signals, etc? Kinda like "Video Standards for Dummies" pr something?

For a one time cost of $50.00 they are advertising that you can get 3,000 Satellite channels on your PC. Sounds too good to be true. So does any one have first hand knowledge about this?

I get very poor terrestrial reception and no freeview reception. Even with a signal booster, reception is poor.

I was wondering what a guide price may be for someone to go up on the roof (three-storey building) and adjust the aerial, which I imagine could possibly include replacing the aerial itself.

If so, how do you rate it compared to say a "50" flat panel telivision. And do you have any suggestions for the type to purchase, lighting requirements of the room, set up (including hiding the wires), etc?
