I keep on hearing about plasma TV image burn. Are all Plasma TV's on the market now safe from TV burn? If so what year did this stop happening. Would i be better off getting a LCD rather than Plasma? scraifice picture quality over longevity.

HDMI from hd dvr to tv. But what about the DVD player, i heard that needs to be HDMI or DVI. Below is a link to my new tv. it only has one HDMI output, what should i do for the best picture quality. I didn't get the new DVD player yet, but i'll probably get an upconversion of a decent brand.

I need some advice please. I would like to buy my Dad sky+ for xmas. He has the sports and movies package already. sky are advertising sky+ for £99 with free installation, if you take out multiroom, I don't want the multi room as this would cost him an extra £10 a month, but then I would have to pay for installation??? Am I correct so far? I want to know is there any way of haggling as I'm not the subscribed person? Also if you did have the multiroom would sky give the additional box as the one he already has is extremely old and jumpy? sorry there are so many question!

Hi. I'm a technology journalist with the BBC. I'm looking for anyone who has bought and LCD or Plasma TV, only to discover later that it won't work with High Definition. Maybe it doesn't have the right connectors, perhaps the people in the shop told you it was HD ready and it doesn't. It may be one of those HD 'compatible' TVs which don't actually have enough lines to display true HD.

I have a 25 inch Philips-Magnavox model # TS2744 C106 that turns on okay but about a minute later it turns off. This happens every time .I am clueless and wonder if I should just bash it , or is this a simple problem to correct ? The TV was manufactured in Greenville , TN. Sept 1997 and theres not a scratch on it but it just sits there because I cannot turn it on. Any Ideas ?

Hola,
I came across a used big screen recently. I bought it, and everything works, but the picture is pretty foggy/faded. It's a Sony Videoscope XBR (model #KP-53XBR45). Does anyone know if there's a quick/cheap/easy solution to my picture problems? It would be a great tv if the picture were better.
Thanks in advance!

Since this had been hooked up to our new TV a time delay keeps happening, between their lips and the sound, it is like watching an old kung foo movie that has been made over seas. What is causing this? Besides switching it back to reg sound of TV and then back to the home theratre system can I stop it? I stays in sync for awhile and then it does it again! It is an LG home theatre system and a 62 in Toshiba DLP. Yes, it was professionally installed. Thank you.

The Samsung one looks great, and is cheaper, but will the Sony Bravia be better, seeing as it has lots of hype and lots of people say that Bravias are the best... But the Samsung has so many more features... But I trust Sony... I'm not sure which one...

I've looked in the usual electronics stores but I've always had this fear that they may tweak certain models and brands to steer customers toward certain models. This may be unfounded but it is a concern. I'd like to know what experience consumers have with broadcast reception, both from a rooftop antenna and an indoor antenna. I like the Sony Bravia models but they seem cost prohibitive. Thanks!
