I just bought a new lcd hdtv. I have a couple of questions.
1. I don't have an hd reciever from directv, because the hd dvr combo is too much $ right now, but i thought it would look better, not as grainy, any ideas how to fix it?
2. What if i just got the hd reciever AND the dvr, is it possible to switch back and forth?

I bought the TV at Wal Mart in Arkansas. I am not generally happy with it since Universal Remotes will not work with it. I have Cox DVR cable box.

A warranty is a protection plan, like insurance. If they can't fix it, they'll replace it. Therefore, if I buy a replacement TV with their "Gift Card", then taxes towards that TV should be exempt. Right?

I have a Schneider TV which is a few years old and has developed a pink tinge to everything on the screen. Is this a big problem or is it easily and cheaply repairable? Apart from the pink tinge, there`s nothing else wrong with it. Thanks

It seems the quality of Sony electronics was much better when they were all made in Japan. Sometimes the quality totally sucks and the price is still high.

I'm in the market for a 30-40 inch HDTV, hopefully something with 720P resolution. I hear that places like best buy and circuit city arent the best places to find quality TV's, but I'm too afraid to buy something off the internet because there are so many site to choose from. What are the the best places on the web to find a deal, as well as the best stores to find quality TV's?

I just purchased an LCD television. The picture quality on the lower channels is grainy. I was told it could be because of the demands on my cable. I have a digital box (on other tv), high speed internet as well as I use VOIP for my phone. Would a booster be recommended? Thanks
