Where to buy a good HDTV?

I'm in the market for a 30-40 inch HDTV, hopefully something with 720P resolution. I hear that places like best buy and circuit city arent the best places to find quality TV's, but I'm too afraid to buy something off the internet because there are so many site to choose from. What are the the best places on the web to find a deal, as well as the best stores to find quality TV's?
