I have a Schneider TV which is a few years old and has developed a pink tinge to everything on the screen. Is this a big problem or is it easily and cheaply repairable? Apart from the pink tinge, there`s nothing else wrong with it. Thanks

Have you got an unshielded loudspeaker near the set at all? If so, move it. The tube may have become partially magnetised, and need 'degaussing'. Most sets do have an automatic degauss circuit that operates when the set is turned-on, but sometimes an external degauss is needed.

You need to find someone with a degaussing-coil who could see if this is the problem.

for £150 you could get a new 28 inch widescreen-for what it would cost to fix yours you might as well buy a new one.

questions been answered, degausing needed only 1 more thing to try as the set should degause itself make sure its knocked off overnight and not left on standby , when you turn on then from cold it should degause itself

take it to a electrical repairers and ask them to de-gauss the screen, also keep any magnets/speakers etc away.. from it
the sheiding may have come of one of the internal speakers..
