Yeah, especially if you throw it at the screen!

It may or may not go away. If it goes away I would suggest never doing it again. I know some computer monitors have a de-magnetize option on them, I'm not sure about TVs though.

i think if it is strong enough it will mess up the color. although you could try moving the antenna around a bit.but i think your color might just be screwed up. maybe you should keep strong magnets away from your child for a while. until he/she is old enough to understand not to put magnets on the TV.

No, next time you turn it back on it should 'degauss' itself and everything will look fine again.
At worst you may have to have a technician come in with a degaussing coil to fix it, but I doubt that being necessary.
Even moving a color TV will cause problems because of the earth's magnetic field, but the fix is built in.

No, if the TV works well. If you put away the magnet and then switch off, and switch on the TV, everything will be good again.

Yes, it can.
When this happens all the colors that appear normally change to others. You'll have to take the TV to a technician. They have (most of them) a special magnet that fixes the colors.

Don't worry. The color will disappear in a matter of time. It took my TV 2 days for the color distortion to disappear.

no sorry to tell you but it can ruin it. you can try putting the magnet back up and moving the color around a little to see if it helps, otherwise you need to get a new tv.

no you can take it to a tv repair shop and have it repaired
they actually use another magnet to fix it but it's a special kind or something
it's not expensive and wont take long either
