I own a TV that is not tuned in or connected to an ariel that I use to play Playstation games on. Do I need a TV licence?

Yes. The law states that if you own a recepter or device (ie a TV) capable of receiving TV signials you must buy a licence. This is regardless of how you use it. Daylight Robbery really isn't? this will change when the UK switches to Digital byt for now you got to pay or buy a moinitor only.

Yes. It sucks I know but they basically think that if you have a DVD player, or TV, or video recorder then you are intending to use a TV at some point and therefore need a licence.

I got harrassed by the TV licence people when I was at uni cos they said I didn't have a licence, but then i didn't have a TV either so I was fine!

in case you watch stay television then you relatively want a licence it relatively is not significant what you watch it on, television or laptop. A television and not utilising a receiver is a working laptop or laptop video reveal, we've them already! i could elect to confirm television licencing abolished. aside from the certainty that the television licence would not provide up the BBC publicizes having quite some stressful classified ads (for his or her own programmes), the corporate that manages the television licence is quite agressive and hounds people who have not got a television. that's actual one in all the very few circumstances the place in case you do not have a television you're presumed to be responsible for a criminal offense simply by fact they have not got a checklist of you having a licence (which of direction you do not prefer).

If you own a TV, you need a license. I'm sorry, but that's really that simple. It could be tuned in or connected to an ariel so therefore a license is required. Unfortunately, they won't take your word that you will never connect it... strange, that!

Unfortunately you do, I personally think that we are ripped off as i found out when a midget tv licence officer knocked at my door.
I told her that i did not watch tv as most of what was put out i saw when i was a child, Apparently if you have a device capable of recieving tv channels then you have to pay whether you use it or not.

The TV licence is just that, a licence to operate a television - regardless of what you use it for. Pay up or become one of Murdoch's army of Heathens!

If you think you might, then you do. If the telly works when you connect it and tune it, you need a license. Do you really expect the TV license fascists to beleive you don't occasionally watch Coronation Street? Personally, I wouldn't pay the bastards, I didn't for years, only do now because my wife got scared cos the fascists kept knocking and leaving notes.

if you have the tuner removed its ok.
My friends have done this as they never watch tv.
ask your local tv repair shop

the playstation connects via the scart socket which bypasses the tuner.
