For $900, check Costco or Sam's Club. Typically name brands (e.g., Samsung, Sony, Sharp, etc.) will be above $999 for 30-32" size.

One thing you need to understand is that for 32" HDTV, you will need to sit between 4 and 5 feet for maximum viewing pleasure (so to speak). Having said that, you would need to get HDTV signal to see HDTV, whether from HD cable, HD satellite, or over the air HD programming (from networks like CBS, NBC, ABC, etc.) with an antenna.

HD-ready means that the TV does not have a HD tuner. You will need either a satellite or a cable box to receive the HD programs.

However, many HDTVs these days do come with integrated tuners. This allows picking up over the air HD programs, as mentioned above.

Do note that even with an integrated HD tuner, if you need either cable or satellite to receive any kind of TV signal in your area, the tuner will be useless.

If you plan on getting HD cable, save a little money by buying HD-ready TV since your cable will provide the box to receive the HD programs.

Check out the Dell Outlet and get a refurbished one. Same warranty, much cheaper.
