I would like to buy a small television for my bedroom for under $50. Does anyone think that TV's will be on sale after Christmas? I'm thinking about buying a $20 black and white 5 in. TV but I really really would like a small color TV that's simple and gets the basic channels. That kind of TV goes for about $70 at WalMart but all I have is a $50 gift card. Is that going on sale after Christmas or should I forget about it?

What do I have to adjust to make this possible? Can't I have the picture fill up all the screen like I see at the electronics store with their tv's? Or do I have to wait for Blueray/HD-DVD?

I have a Philips 32 inch LCD HD ready TV. Recently when I switch it on in the morning I get sound but no picture. I have to switch it on and off 2,3,4 times before I finally get a picture.
If I switch it off after watching it for a few hours then switch it back on a couple of hours later it is OK, it seems only to not work after being off a long peroid of time.
Any suggestions to what I can do will be welcome.
The TV is only a few months old I think the model number is
32PF5520 with freeview

Our cable was shut off at the pole today, because we owe $80.
our company sucks, but any way, we have no stations that come in at all. I thought we would at least get our basic channels like abc, nbc and so on. Any idea how we can get any channels just for the night (legally) till we can pay it tomorrow?

My friend just sunk god-knows-how-much into an Hitachi plasma TV. The guy is technologically illerate and hasn't consulated his cable service provider, Charter, to ask what needs to be done in order to optimize the HD signal.

Does anybody here have some experience with HD plasma TVs? I noticed there's a card-reader of sorts in the back of the TV and the manual indeed refers to it. If it was my television, I'd already have this behemoth conqured, but you have to know the "Neeboinic"...Thank you!
