I work for the Cable Co and what they did was put a terminator on your line. Its called a Non Pay disco. You wont get anything through your cable coming in the house. The terminator does what it says, terminates any signal coming from the pole. The only thing you can do is either get a set of rabbit ears or something like that or just wait it out until they come back to hook you up again.
You might be able to talk to your cable company and work out a payment plan for the future where they can either pick your payment up from you or downgrade your service to a lower monthly bill.
I have a few customers that pay me and I drop their money off at my local office it seems to work for them. Not sure if they can do that in your area or not but give it a shot. Good luck!

they probably just stopped the program in the box. unplug the incoming cable and plug it right into the tv that should give you the basic channels. If not then they disconnected it outside. Just find the box cut the lock and plug it back in. It possibly could be on the pole so have a look out when you climb it. you could get in some serious **** for that.

Back in the days before cable television, people used things called "antennas" to get TV stations. Go to Wal-Mart or RadioShack and ask for rabbit ears. Because the employees at both of these stores know nothing about modern electronics, they should be able to hook you up with some rabbit ears. My advice is to get drunk and go to a movie. Watch TV tomorrow.

I work for a major cable provider, who I can't mention, but mabye I can help.
If you have digital cable service, you can bypass the digital box (run the cable from the wall directly to your TV) and you might get basic cable. You might have to have your TV auto-program/scan for the channels.
If the cable was "cut" at the pole, meaning you would have noticed a serviceman up on top of the pole sometime today. If that is the case you can't do anything, because there would be nothing coming into your house.
It might be movie night at your house. Sorry.
Good Luck.

I turn by skill of history channel and some like that and say, sorry honey it is all it is on. Geez, if my 5 twelve months previous needs to observe history channel.. lol.. I received't argue.. haha.. :) yet, in many cases I actually produce different issues going that she'd otherwise be doing.. both cleansing abode with me, gardening, or today, she's watercolor portray on the table beside me. in spite of the undeniable fact that, i am going to assert that there are cases (and extraordinarily for a married couple) once you merely want a couple of minutes... and saving that a million hour or so of caricature time for then is rather effective.. :) i'm a instructor and accept as true with you that little ones watch wayyyy too a lot television lately.. we've honestly had a baby who ought to in effortless words communicate in television commercial words... and the prices of weight problems are alarming... plus, little ones are having interest topics if i do not flash bright shades and do a music and dance or act out a conflict scene lol.. (i'm kidding about that, yet heavily, they have a not undemanding time merely being youngsters with out all the digital busy body stuff). i imagine it truly is sturdy you opt for to reduce their television time.. .. there's a lot lifestyles previous the television. get excitement from it... I doubt at the same time as they're grown and out of the abode, you'll look decrease back and desire you had watched more beneficial television....

yeah, go buy some rabbit ear antennas, also change the TV setting to antenna, if its there, even without the rabbit ears you can get some channels...but go out and buy some rabbit ears and you'll be fine, cheap and most electronics places will carry them. run a channel search and you'll do fine.
