Does anyone else have this problem? It's done this so many times I've returned the game console and got a new one and now the new one does it too. Some of the games have only gotten played 1-4 times. Now it's a hassle to make sure i save my receipt to return the games for new ones. I know it's not from me handling the disks because once they're in i usually don't take them out. HELP!

My boyfrined is wanting a 42" flat panel for our bedroom and he is very indecisive. I need a straight forward answer on what the difference is and which is the better one. I'm tired of spending countless hours at electronics stores. Plus, any suggestions on where to go for best one or price?

I bought it for $1600 from Clive peters. 3 Years interest free finance and purchased 2 years extra warranty for $285 on top of the 12 months factory warranty. Is it good value for the money? What other types of settop box or DVD players should I get to get a better image out of it? (It's standard definition)

I’ve had my HDTV for about three weeks and just recently got Direct TV. I am trying to get the best possible picture from the HD Receiver to the TV, so I bought a HDMI cable to go from the Receiver to the TV. I didn’t pay much for the cable because it’s some unknown brand. Would a better known brand or better (more expensive cable) give me a better picture?

just swithched my tv on ( last used about 3 hours ago) It was on standby mode so I used the remote to switch it on. It made its usual light 'thud' noise and sound was present b4 any picture came on, then it made a short crackle noise & went off altogether. Now the standby button is pulsing, 2 flashes & a pause & repeating. Tried switching oo/off manually but nothing is happening. Anyone out there got any ideas on whats wrong or if its terminally gone. I bought the set brand new about 4 years ago thinking that buying a Sony I could expect a good few years out of it without any problems, tho this is the first time its gone wrong I'm a bit miffed

I only get a couple channels that come in decent, but I used to be able to get FOX channel 6 clear enough to watch it, but now It doesn't come in at all. I have a crappy antenna, and I was just curious if there were any techniques that might help, for example, maybe speaker wire? And is there any particular type wire or metal that would help in picking up a signal better than another?

It's a loud "wonk" noise, doesn't seem to affect the TV's performance.

I have found a 34" Sony Widescreen HDTV CRT(Tube) that is one year old for $600 with the tv stand. I have read great reviews about this tv and how it rivals those of high end plasma tv's. Just wanted your advice on this purchase. Thanks

So the TV I'm looking at, a JVC LT-40X667, has "only" a 800:1 Contrast ratio according to CNET review. Otherwise they like the unit.

What the heck does that mean to me and should I be looking at a HDTV with a higher ratio? Does it even matter to the average Joe?

As always, thanks in advance for your insight!
