Ah yes.... you have the 42" version of my 70".....

Well, what kind of outputs do you have on your laptop? If you have an S-Video output on there, perfect. Now you'll just have to get an S-Video cable.
Try this link to Radio Shack:

Or for 3X's the money you could get a 19.7' DVI cable:

I used to use the VGA cable which came with my Bravia TV before I purchased an HDMI cable to go with it. You can buy HDMI cables anywhere for about $15-$20. HDMI cables, unlike VGA, provide you with an all in one cable, being a HD video signal and audio, rather than having to use the headphone jack for audio. All you do is pop your tv onto one of the HDMI inputs depending on which on you plugged your laptop into, log into your laptop and have fun. The headphone jack on your laptop won't be effective when plugged in as the sound will come through the TV. Have fun!

You will need to buy a convertor cable that will have the laptop connector at one end (this is called SVGA) then one of the TVs connectors at the other end. (either RCA or S-Video) so what you want is called a "SVGA female to RCA cable"
