Please explain where the parameters for " digital " differ from analogue !. If you have any time left please do the same for digital tuners and after that perhaps you might explain the difference between colour TV antennas and monochrome ones . Note only scientific parametrs will do, no daft answers like " better made : or other dumb answers !! Cheers Pete .

I have tried swifters, paper towels and washcloths. From the side you can see a blotches of rough patches or something, it's beyond description. Is there any solution I could use without messing the screen up?

What makes one HDMI cable better than another? What differences cause the price to vary (besides length)?

I have about $3000 I'm willing to spend, no more. And I seen just about every tv and heard about every sales pitch I can take. Some told me that HDTV's only come in two types, plasma's or lcd's. I heard not to buy a plasma, get an lcd, but at least 1080p. Then I saw an DLP with 1080p and another guy said that was better. Then I saw a Samsung 61 inch, 1080p lcd tv but it was a projection tv. What is and projection tv? Then a guy told me to stay away from projection tv's.... Someone else was explaining what to look for if I wanted to hook my tv up to my computer !! Can someone please help me? I'm more confused now than before I went to the store. I don't know what I want? I guess I want the best HDTV i can get for about 3000 dollars. I don't care if it's 720 or 1080p, lcd or dlp or scdtv i saw too. Plasma or projection. Can someone help me figure out this madness? Or at least recommend some good name brands or key words to look for? For an HDTV, at least 50 inches or better. THANKS......

I dropped my portable plasma screen TV and now the screen is cracked on the inside. Can't feel any damage to the outside but the inside is cracked in a sort of spider crack. Is it possible to fix it myself or does anyone know of somewhere that will fix it? (in North West of UK)

Sometimes my HD picture is wide format and then narrow format on the same channel. Is this due strictly to the way the network broadcasts the signal?

I can buy a 15" for close to that but that's way too small. A 23" - 27" would be perfect but most of them are in the 400-800 dollar range. Any ideas ?

I bought a 14:9 aspect ratio television. It's quite good, except when I play wide screen movies, they continue to have the letterbox blocking out the top and the bottom. One would expect them to resize themselves to the wide screen television. I can press the "size" button on my remote control, but that merely stretches the image horizontally, leaving characters looking short and fat. There remains the letterbox. I paid a thousand dollars for this TV. Can anyone help me make Tia Carrere tall and beautiful again?

I've heard that Plasma HDTVs are not being manufactured by Sony and other electronic manufacturers. If this is true, would I be better off investing in a large-screen LCD instead of wasting my money on a Plasma?
