us q-tips to apply baking soda paste you mix up in a saucer. use more fresh q-tips with water to clean it up and make it all shiny like new. whatever you do, do not use sandpaper or a nailfile or something to tear up your connectors. finally, get a tube of paste at radio shack to prevent corrosion in the future.

Coke-Cola, or fingernail polish remover. You can also buy acid removers from auto-parts stores that might be a little more sensible sounding.
