My heart goes out to you on this - it happened to me. If you are talking Plasma - you can get it fixed, but it's really expensive, depends on the size of the screen. Mine was a Hitachi 42" plasma cracked on the inside after 2 hours of use- new screen £1200 AAAARRRGGGHHH! Hitachi said tough luck, couriers said shame I said "skip then"
In my case I purchased a 40" NEC LCD Display and never looked back
Ring around and ask for a few quotes from TV repairers, but you could claim on your house insurance for it I guess. Best wishes. :)

Short answer: no. Once a plasma screen blows, that's it, game over.
Always buy the extended warranty on a plasma TV.

broken plasma screens cant be fixed, only replaced. Plasma screens hold gas inbetween them, thats what makes the display. cracks let the gasses out. i would say its dead

Just bring it back to the store where you purchased it, probably the LCD was broken so it can be fixed, PLASMA tele are wee bit sensitive than the older tele's before but it can be fixed.

No you cannot repair it yourself. The screen is a bin job ... and it would probably be cheaper to buy new than to repair. Can you claim on house insurance under accidental cover?

Oops! I don't think they are repairable. It's easier and cheaper to buy a new one.
