The warranty is offered by the manufacturer so it doesn't matter where you buy it. Stores do have different return policies for buying at the store or online. Most of the time you can't return a product to the store if you bought it online. Plus, if you have to ship it back you might have to pay for that too.

Buy it from the store, for a start you get to see and touch and try out what your buying, you can get the salesmans name and all the paperwork, getting the warranty handed to you from the salesman in my opinion is better than getting one delivered to your door. I wouldnt buy anything expensive over the net, I would rather get it straight from the shop where I can return to if something goes wrong.

You never know, u might find one even cheaper!
The warranty should be the same.

buy it online first you save sales tax if they are outside you state
most of them (plasmahouse) are $$$ hundreds cheaper and if something wrong like doa they'll send you a return shipping label
and one of the big shipper picks it up right from your door.
my local stores are just showrooms for me they didn't deliver service anyway so why buy there?

a couple things to consider.
when purchasing online, you don't typically pay sales tax because they ship from another state.
Warranties are from the manufacturer and start at the time of purchase or delivery.
Watch the shipping charges, they may negate any savings you are looking at online. compare apples to apples.

When you buy it in the store you have it in your home that evening..
If something is wrong with it you can take it back right away..
Buying off the internet you have to wait for both....

what if you had to box it all up again and ship it back? how much is that worth? it is all about risk management. if nothing goes wrong the net is the way. for big things like that, i wonder. you can decide for yourself.
