screen have blue blotches, and anything that is white has a blue glow around it. what can i do to get this right?

well good job on replacing a tube, thats a big job and personaly I hate doing it. Depending on the make and model of your set there are many, many different ways to get into to convergence alignment menu. For example on hitachis there is a service button on the deflection board. for most newer philips projections it 062597 and the status button on the remote. and for some newer mitsubishis is menu, 0159 on the remote. if you gave the model number I could tell you how to get into it and how tot adjust.

The convergence needs to be readjusted. The service techs for these tv's go into a maintenance mode usually by pressing a code with the remote control. There are a lot of things you can mess up in there, colors and so on.

You may want to consider getting it professionally calibrated.

You need a professional realignment of the 3 crts now to complete the job.Call a tech shouldnt cost more than 150.00 to 200.00
