Just a thought... Do you have something magnetic near the left side of the Tv? If so remove it and the Tv should go back to normal after a while.
Also what type of Tv is is?... CRT/LCD/Plasma? and how old is it?

been magnetized i think. Any tv repair place should have a deguassing wand. All they need to do is wave it over the screen a few times and it sets the colors back. Should be cheap too, dont let them rip you off. My husband charged $25 in Nashville to do it. But he is self-employed. A place like Best BUy would be probably tripple that price.

Move it away from that big a ss speaker sitting there.
The magnet is messing you around.
If not , look for a "de-gauss" button, if not that call a tv repairman.

Maybe someone put a magnet to it. If it is irregular rainbow colors, then yes it was a magnet. I don't think it is fixable.
