Blu-ray-disc movies look good but regular DVD movies don't look that great on a big hi-def TV. Do hi-def TV's have a switch to turn off the high definition mode for regular TV and DVD's?

I want to buy a Olevia Tv and I can not decide between the 337H or the 557 H models. I really can not tell what the main differnces would be because I am not that Tec savey. Could someone pease give me their opinion??? THANKS ++

I have the reciept n everything i just wasnt happy w/ the quality of the picture...i expected better i payed about 800 for it do you think i i could get another brand or something better.. i mean i havent lost any of the parts i have everything im just not happy with it well if any one has any advice i would appreciate it...thanks

my ge telivision wont turn on i can here the nosie it makes when it turns on it was on one minut and the next it turned off and never back on

i have a hitachi 50plasmahd tv...i have a hitachi progressive scan dvd player...when i hook it up and leave the progressive scan off it works fine...but when i flip the switch on the back of the dvd player to progressive scan it only plays sound and no picture...i'm using the 3 colored hookups for it and i know its hooked up fine? do i need different wires to make the progressive scan work? thanks

at first i used a damp, wrung out paper towel, i know, bad, and it left smears and clouds! then I used diluted vinegar,and water, and it basically did the trick...i would like to know if there is a better way, and if vinegar is bad...thanks.

when i go from the home screen on my ps3 and go into the game or vise versa the screen will blink on and off saying no signal until i turn the tv on and off. and only does this in hdtv mode. what could it be?

If I am watching a Fully HD show (say BluRay, HD-DVD or HD Broadcast) with 720p or 1080i on a 42" LCD, will the picture be SIGNIFICANTLY better than watching a DVD on a 21" LCD via component output with 480p. Let's assume that both LCDs are exactly the same, such as contrast ratio, aspect, etc except the size. What I want to undestand is that will investment for HD for a smaller TVs worth the price or HD broadcasts cater really for big screen TVs. Thank you.
