My apartment used to have basic cable channels, but they are all gone since last December. I mean, I do not have any channels anymore... I live in Iowa, so I though snow might be the reason. Does anybody have any idea how to fix the cable? My landload is so useless for this kind of problems...

I'm looking to purchase an HDTV in the neighborhood of 32" primarily for my video game system. I've heard that some tvs burn out quicker than others due to video game use. I was just wondering if there is a certain type I should get for my needs.

We are thinking of getting directv in 4 different rooms but dont have phone jacks in all the rooms. Can they be set up using just the main phone jack in the living room? Is there a cable going from the satellite dish down to each receiver? Also, what does the receiver connect to (tv, power outlet, phone line ect.)?

I got a new 50 inch plasma.

I was wondering how I could get HD television without having to subscribe to digital cable or satellite television?

I currently have expanded cable which is good for me.

I am buying a hitachi 51", it says this..

DTV tuner: Hitachi’s DTV tuner allows the 51F59 to receive and process digital programming which is then converted to 1080i for display. A separate HD tuner is required to receive HD programming.

But what my REAL question is is that does that mean I have to buy something seperate to get HD picture with my xbox 360?

The cable guy told me I didn't have a strong enough signal to get digital cable television and high-speed internet. So he installed an inline amplifier. Next thing I know, my television is not working properly and the damage was caused by an unknown magnetic field. Is it possible that the magnetic field was created by the amplifier that the cable guy installed?

I'm going to buy an HDTV but I dont want to pay extra for the HD package from my cable company, if, lets say, the superbowl is transmitted on HD, can I still see it on HD without the extra HD service? I dont know if my question is confusing, I just dont want to pay extra for channels I wont be watching. Any thoughts?

It is in writing which looks like a set up, under which the pictures are perfect. We've tried turning things off and on but to no avail. The message reads C ??48TN -311, and is the same whatever channel you are on. ( the message is exactly as i've writen it, the question marks don't mean i can't see what symbol it is. Also there is a space between the C and the two question marks ) What is the telly needing me to do ? It's really annoying me now. Please help
