I have just set up my new Sony Bravia 26" TV...v nice!

I am told that I will get a much better picture from DVD player if I use Gold End heavily shrouded cables. These cable cost a fortune....so do they really make a difference.

Currys also toldme that the HDMI cable that comes with the Sky HD box is useless...and its best to spend around £60 on a special Gold ended version so as to get the much better picture. Comet have the MONSTOR cables in stock and a demo of the difference it makes....but does anyone out there have 1st hand experience of this being true, prior to me spending around £150 on new cables!!

I have just bought a 40" plasma as I was fed up losing the side peoples heads or not being able to see all the text being shown on my old tv.

It has not got any better in fact I would say its worse now.

I am still losing the both ends of sentences in subtitles and can barely see the red dot (SkyActive button) on the screen.

Is there something simple I am missing here that would allow me to see the full screen??

Any ideas??

Below are two links to eBay. The first link is for a picture in which you can see that the box reads: "ACL TVHD." The second link is for a picture of the normal box (scroll down) which reads: "LCD HDTV". Both sellers sell the same model TV, the Olevia 232V. I would like to know if the TV of the first link is possibly a fake product, because I have seen some products which seem to bear the logo of a major brand, but instead say something different on the logo. Do you have this TV model? If so, do you like the TV?

There is a really nice TV I want and it's $1300 at the store (tweeter) but $999 on Amazon with free shipping. In the event of a problem... is it a bad idea to buy off Amazon? Should I stick with the local store? I'm worried I'll regret the purchase if there's a problem with the TV down the line.

When I am watching TV, the picture shrinks and becomes a very thin line. Occasionally it will correct its self or the picture will appear only on the top part of the screen. Any suggestions as to a way to fix it?

I only use it to record tv shows when I'm not home. I have it set for timer recording with the tape loaded and out of nowhere it will eject the tape even though the VCR isn't turned on.

So, we have direct TV, right? one upstairs and one downstairs. When i try to look at the titles and what's coming up, ya know? The one downstairs doesn't show any titles, except for news or something. but the one upstairs shows them. I think the problem started a little bit after we called the direct TV help people, because a channel we orderded wasn't showing up. but, it wasn't directly after that. So, i'm not sure if that's what caused it or anything. Can anyone help me fix this?

We have a 32" Magnavox television. We have had it about 15 months...
the other night, when we turned it on, the picture was weird...the color was
wrong and it had lines going through it...the volume did not work and then,
within 5 seconds, the TV shuts off...anyone have any idea what that might
be??

Thanks

Hello all I recently bought this TV http://www.olevia.com/jsp/products/specs... and was wondering if I should set up my Xbox 360 for 720p or 1080i. The native resolution is 1366 x 768 on the TV. I am connecting via component and cannot select 1366 x 768 so it's either 720p or 1080i. I have a hard time judging the difference between the two but maybe someone out there has experience and can help me out? Btw I know that must people say 720p is better because of progress scanning but has anyone experienced anything different?

If I got a Region 2 PAL DVD player, would I also need a PAL TV or would it play on an NTSC TV? If not, is there something I could buy to convert the signal and make it watchable on NTSC? I ask because I'd really like to buy the new James Bond DVDs from the UK, since their release was much better than the US's.

I know that 'he' said he was a boy...but maybe he was a girl pretending to be a boy pretending to be a girl....

That would explain why, even though he gets so much exercise, he doesnt gain muscle mass....

and why Zabuza and Haku were so close.....

and of course, why Haku looked like a girl

any thoughts?
