I have just bought a 40" plasma as I was fed up losing the side peoples heads or not being able to see all the text being shown on my old tv.

It has not got any better in fact I would say its worse now.

I am still losing the both ends of sentences in subtitles and can barely see the red dot (SkyActive button) on the screen.

Is there something simple I am missing here that would allow me to see the full screen??

Any ideas??

Go into the menu settings and if you set the screen format to 16.9 you should see everything

In the picture setup menu, you should have a similar list to the options below -

16:9
4:3
Cinema
Subtitle
Zoom
Auto
Full

Scroll through, until you find a setting that gives the picture you require.

I had the same problem even though my one is smaller than your one.......a terrible admission.
I couldn't comprehend all the instructions but playing about with the remote control eventually cured it. Still don't know how.
