Did you break off the connector on the TV set? If so, you will need have it repaired at a TV shop. Your other option is use your VCR as the tuner and connect the audio and video to the set's inputs. Cable to input of vcr. video output from vcr to video input on LCD (probablly vid 1). Connect audio same.
Use your VCR as your tuner. Set your TV to (vid 1?) .You will need to auto program the VCR but make shure it is in cable mode. Use your VCR as your tuner. Hope this helps.

if you are in the United States all tv will be broadcast in digital in about 2 months. However if your tv works now with cable it will work then. As long as the lcd has some sort of tuner it will work. The channels should look the same or better.

Call your local cable company. They will send out a service technician who will take approx. 30 seconds to reapir and should be at no cost to you. I do not know of a cable company that is charging for service calls at this time. They do however, charge for an installation technician which you do not need. This will be a lot cheaper than buying a crimper and fittings to make your own repair. Also, most cable tv subscribers will not make the proper connection causing signal leakage or ingress (signal beelding in) and in turn experiencing poor pix.
