I have freeview set up in one of the rooms of my home. Recently the picture seems to be scrambled and i'm lucky if i can watch it at all. Some channels that used to work are now not working. Any advice? I live in liverpool

i use a booster from argos ,this helps us get about 30/40%of the channels we had on analogue ,the rest of the time it seems to be down to the pressure (weather) in high pressure we get the music channels and ftn and a few others but lose all the bbc channels ,in low pressure its the reverse ..im seriously thinking of just ditching the tv as theres not much worth watching these days that i cant already watch online !

its also the same for sky reception in our area ,if theres a lot of windy or rain the neighbours all complain they lose certain channels ...i think digital is pants and has been set up first in more affluent areas ,the people in the stix will have to wait

Hi, we got a freeview box and it was like that from the start. Your reception needs to be perfect for it to work properly. We bought a booster (more expensive) than the Argos ones and it didnt help much. We ended up giving the freeview box away. Sounds like your aeriel might have been blown into different position or something. The woman I work beside got someone out to fix her aeriel and it only cost £30 quid! If id know that at the time I would have got that done to ours.

The weather seems to affect out reception. Even though our area supposedly does not get freeview, most of the time we get 30 + channels. Have not tried the booster thingy but a mate at work says that it works for him.

We have had a problem with our Freeview but only when watching BBC1. TV man came out but he says it has nothing to do with the signal as that is fine and he could not understand why this only happens in the evening
