My apartment used to have basic cable channels, but they are all gone since last December. I mean, I do not have any channels anymore... I live in Iowa, so I though snow might be the reason. Does anybody have any idea how to fix the cable? My landload is so useless for this kind of problems...

namsug98 gave an excellent response, but try this as well
(especially if other people in the building still have cable)

If you disconnected your TV, perhaps it losts all channels or is set to "antenna" input instead of "cable".

Turn on the TV, go the menu and do a channel scan.
make sure the TV is set to 'cable' and not "antenna".
If your cable is alive, you should see the channels.

I am currently a lead technician for a cable company hear in Kansas City so hopefully I can help. It sounds like your cable was disconnected by the cable company. More than likely if you are in an apt. or renting a room in a house you may have been set up with a "bulk account" (where the price of your cable is part of your rent). If this is true than the contract with your landlord and the cable company may have ran out in December and they turned off the cable. There are two things you can do, you can check with your landlord and see if this is whats happened, or you can call the cable company directly and see what the problem is. I doubt that any amount of snow you had in Iowa (because I use to live there) would have brought down any cable lines. Usually the only time you will see problems with downed cable lines is during or after ice storms. The ice will freeze on the cable and the additional weight can bring down the lines whereas snow does not collect on the lines and normally is not heavy enough to do any damage to them. Hope this helps.
