I have connected the Total Control AV Sender UC-AV10 (from Argos) to my NTL Cable Box and am receiving the signal fine on TV upstairs, but do not know how to change channels from upstairs - understand it is to do with the infrared, but how does it have to be set up? Any advice please.

The UC-AC10's built-in remote control extender is not compatible with the IrDA protocol that NTL and Telewest digital cable boxes use. You can use a separate IrDA extender such as this one: http://www.xtendedplay.co.uk/digieye-wireless-irda-remote-control-extender-p-51.html
However, if you have a newer Samsung NTL box, there might not be anything that will work because apparently they use a unique high frequency IR signal that isn't compatible with any remote senders to date.

I truthfully have 3 AV senders at living house and you only could regulate the band your community makes use of or the single used via your AV sender. The sender could have a activate the backside, replace this to the subsequent placing (additionally the receiver) and notice if each and every thing is large. If no longer, try back. in case you have tried all settings then replace the band your community runs on (a placing on your router). it may take some juggling, even though it does artwork.
