I have Comcast cable wiyh their cable box.
I haven't used the Panasonic DVD Recorder model # DMR-85H for 7 months and now forgot how to hook it up. I pulled all the patch cords out of receiver and recorder and started from scratch. BUT I can record from a vcr to hard drive of DVD Recorder, but for the life of me can't record off tv even switching the channels on recorder and the input of the tv of L1,L2 and L3. Videophiles, Technophiles needed! I need the perfect DVR to add to my home entertainment system? What DVR should I be looking at? I want to record multiple programs, skip commercials, record in HD with plenty of space and burn to DVD? Ability to play DVD and upconvert to 1080p or even play HD DVD would be awesome? IS there a DVR out there that will do all of this? HELP! Thanks

I just upgraded from regulard directv dvr to hd dvr (reciever hr 21).

But I hate the new remote that came with it.

Can I program my old control (from the regular dvr) to work with the hr21?

Let me explain, I need a place to hide, like my emergency cash or whatever it is people need to hide. I thought about putting it in my VCR player since I don't use it anymore. Is this a good idea or bad idea? Why? Will doing this ruin my VCR player or ruin the odjects I put in it?

I have $100-150 dolllars to spend. Is this enough for a tv tuner. Do tv tuners have a price range, and if so what is the difference? What functions would a tv tuner have in my budget (if there is one at all.)??? Thanks alot

Some of the channels are kind of scrambled and makes that awful scratching sound. It's not the satellite and the cables are correct. How do I fix this? It's annoying and the customer service people are useless. I'm calling on all you Yahoo! Answerers to help me, please!

Thanks

Hi,

If a DVD is a rental copy, that means this DVD can be legally rented out is that correct? Ones that are not can not be rented out.

I've recorded a TV program on a DVD-RW which plays fine on stand-alone DVD players but no computer can play it.
All the computers I've tried do have DVD ROMs.

Thanks
