I haven't used the Panasonic DVD Recorder model DMR-E85H for 7 months and now forgot. I pulled all the patch cords out of recorder and receiver and started from scratch. Now I can record anything from VCR to hard drive on dvd recorder, but for the life of me can't record off tv even switching the channels on recorder and the input channels on tv like L1,L2 and L3. What could I have missed?

sounds like a wireing issue.

Do you use Sat or cable? receiver or none? Wireing would be different for each.

Send me a message or update your question and I should be able to help you.

Dr.demise is ideal and the solutions I examine below him were all incorrect. A swap over to digital is in procedure and takes position in Feb 2009 for the U. S.. i think Canada has similarities, yet i do no longer recognize. Cable operators and satelite broadcasters can proceed with analog television for your time. i'm particular contained in the longer time period, there'll be no extra analog television, yet which will be something like 5 years or perhaps longer out into the destiny and that i'm particular many cable device operators do no longer actually have a plan yet for a swap over... so in some international places, it will be 10 yeas or perhaps longer.
