Depends on your TV
Most TV tuners support both of-the-air and basic Cable reception .
If your TV has a CableCard slot, you can even receive encrypted channels if you get a card from your cable provider.

No TV tuner supports satellite. You will need a set-top box

Hi Joel Pradeep ,

TV Guy is right. With cable your built in TV tuner will work for analog channels.

If you have digital cable you will need a set top tuner box from the cable company unless the TV has a cable card slot.

For satellite reception you need a satellite receiver.
